XcanMow Mix 2000 Robot Mower Makes Its European Debut at IFA Berlin 2026

BELIN, GERMANY - Media OutReach Newswire - 31 August 2026 - Xcanbot arrives at IFA Berlin 2026 with two machines on Booth CCBB-154: the XcanMow Mix 2000 robot mower, making its European debut, and the Mate X seated mobility robot. Demonstrations run daily, 4-8 September, at Messe Berlin.

Where robot mowers fail is rarely the open lawn. It is the narrow passage beside the house, the corner under a tree where satellite reception dies, the front garden the machine cannot reach. Wire-guided mowers need a cable buried around the whole plot. RTK mowers lose their fix under canopies and beside walls.

The Mix 2000 does without both. Its XcanSense system fuses LiDAR with camera vision to map the garden automatically on the first run, with no wire, no antenna, no base station and no boundary walk, and holds roughly 2 cm positioning accuracy in shade, beside walls and after dark.

It passes through gaps as narrow as 55 cm, climbs 25-degree slopes, clears 5 cm obstacles and covers up to 2,000 m² at around 180 m² per hour. Cutting height runs from 30 to 60 mm. It works at 61 dB, carries an IPX6-rated body, and ships with 4G, GPS, a rain sensor, a swappable battery and multi-zone mapping as standard.

Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung mulai sekira pukul 10.00 WIB hingga 18.00 WIB dengan menyusuri jalur pipa di wilayah Kecamatan Bukit Kapur, Kota Dumai.

Patroli melibatkan personel Koramil 02/BK Sertu Roni Sandra bersama dua orang Security PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, yakni Alvian dan Ari. Kegiatan tersebut sekaligus menjadi bagian dari penguatan pembinaan teritorial (Binter) melalui kerja sama SKK Migas Sub Sektor dengan Kodim 0320/Dumai.

Dalam pelaksanaannya, tim menyusuri jalur pipa minyak PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan di sepanjang Jalan Soekarno Hatta, mulai dari Kelurahan Bagan Besar Km 16 hingga Km 22 dan berakhir di wilayah Kelurahan Bukit Kapur, Kecamatan Bukit Kapur.

Babinsa Sertu Roni Sandra mengatakan patroli dilakukan untuk memastikan kondisi jalur pipa tetap aman sekaligus memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat yang berada di sekitar jalur tersebut.

"Kegiatan patroli ini dilaksanakan untuk mengecek kondisi jalur pipa minyak sekaligus memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat agar bersama-sama menjaga keamanan dan keberadaan fasilitas milik PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan," ujar Sertu Roni Sandra.

Dalam sosialisasi tersebut, masyarakat di sepanjang jalur pipa diimbau agar tidak mendirikan bangunan di atas zona jalur pipa. Masyarakat juga diingatkan untuk tidak melakukan pengeboran terhadap pipa karena dapat menimbulkan risiko dan berhadapan dengan proses hukum.

Sertu Roni Sandra juga mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak mengambil besi-besi milik PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan serta tidak melakukan pembakaran sampah di atas jalur pipa karena dapat membahayakan keamanan fasilitas dan lingkungan sekitar.

SOSD is a Singapore-based animal welfare organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs. It currently cares for close to 200 dogs across its shelters and foster network, and relies on public support and partnerships to sustain its work.

The partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 28 July 2026, will run from September 2026 to August 2027 under V Aesthetics Holdings' ongoing "Care Beyond Aesthetics" initiative. Funds will be ring-fenced for initiatives that directly improve the welfare and quality of life of dogs under SOSD's care.

A Meaningful Commitment to Animal Care

The S$400,000 commitment is equivalent to approximately one quarter of SOSD's FY2025 expenditure of S$1.54 million. The funding is expected to support:

Two contract welfare staff dedicated to daily walking, care and rehabilitation of shelter dogs;
Around 150 elevated beds to improve comfort and reduce prolonged contact with hard shelter flooring;
Enhanced daily meals, including meat and cooked food;
Supplements for ageing dogs and those with chronic conditions; and
Shelter enhancements at The Animal Lodge and Jurong Island to create more comfortable living spaces.

By directing resources to these practical areas, the partnership aims to improve the dogs' day-to-day comfort, enrichment and overall wellbeing while they await adoption.

A Personal Connection Behind "Care Beyond Aesthetics"

The contribution marks V Aesthetics Holdings' first major initiative under "Care Beyond Aesthetics", with further community programmes planned. Animal welfare was chosen as the inaugural cause because of Founder and Medical Director Dr Ian Tan's personal connection to dogs.

96% of professionals in Taiwan are already using AI at work, above the Asia average of 93%; 79% believe AI will have a positive impact on their future career opportunities, compared with 75% across Asia.

According to The Jobs of Tomorrow: How AI is Reshaping Work Across Asia, the latest research from Robert Walters, the world's most trusted talent solutions business, 93% of professionals across 10 Asian markets are actively using AI at work, while 58% of employers have formally introduced AI into the workplace.

Taiwan stands above the Asia average not only in AI adoption, but also in career optimism and confidence in adapting to changing skill requirements. 96% of Taiwan professionals already use AI at work, while 79% believe it will positively impact their future career opportunities. Most notably, 73% are confident they can keep their skills relevant as roles evolve — the highest level across all 10 markets surveyed.

As AI becomes more deeply embedded in workflows, Taiwan's workplace is moving beyond the question of whether to use AI towards how to use it effectively and responsibly — from applying AI to analysis and decision-making, to validating outputs and establishing clearer accountability. Robert Walters Taiwan notes that the most immediate impact is not widespread job elimination, but a reconfiguration of work: routine execution is increasingly supported by technology, while human contribution moves towards judgement, oversight and accountability for outcomes.

Taiwan professionals show Asia's highest confidence in keeping skills up to date

While AI usage is consistently high across Asia, professionals differ significantly in how confident they feel about adapting their skills as work evolves.

For Taiwan professionals, continuous skills development is becoming increasingly important as AI reshapes job requirements. 53% of Taiwan employers expect at least a quarter of their workforce to require reskilling or upskilling within the next five years, while 18% expect this to apply to more than half of employees.

At the same time, 73% of Taiwan professionals are confident in their ability to continue learning and keeping their skills up to date, compared with 51–59% across the other Asian markets surveyed. This suggests that while the scale of skills transformation will be significant, Taiwan professionals are relatively confident in their ability to adapt.

Beyond content generation: 62% of Taiwan professionals use AI for predictive analytics and decision support

Across Asia, the most common applications of AI at work are content creation (47%), data analysis and insights (40%) and research (38%), reflecting AI's growing role as a first layer for drafting, information gathering, data processing and baseline analysis.

Taiwan appears to be more focused on analytical and decision-support activities. Predictive analytics and decision support (62%) is the most common application of AI among Taiwan professionals, followed by content creation (58%) and data analysis and insights (40%).

The findings suggest that Taiwan's workplace AI adoption is not only above the Asia average in scale, but is also moving beyond productivity support into analysis, insight generation and decision-making.

Taiwan professionals are less concerned about job loss — and more focused on data, trust and accountability

The impact of AI on jobs remains a major topic of discussion. In Taiwan, employers identify Administration & Business Support (45%), Accounting & Finance (28%), and IT & Digital Transformation (22%) as the functions most exposed to change as AI becomes more integrated into the workplace.

Even as AI reshapes roles, Taiwan professionals remain broadly optimistic about its impact on their careers. 79% believe AI will have a positive impact on their career opportunities. While one in five professionals in neighbouring Hong Kong believe AI will negatively affect their career opportunities, concerns in Taiwan are less focused on whether AI will replace jobs and more on whether it can be used safely and responsibly. 54% of Taiwan professionals are concerned about data misuse and confidentiality, while 51% are concerned about accountability for AI-driven decisions. Both are the highest levels recorded across the 10 Asian markets surveyed.

In parallel, employers are placing greater emphasis on the human capabilities needed to work effectively alongside AI. 76% of Taiwan employers identify critical thinking and fact-checking as one of the most important skills in an AI-driven workplace, highlighting the growing importance of human judgement. As AI becomes faster at providing information and answers, professional value is increasingly shifting from simply finding information to validating it, applying the right context and knowing when to challenge an AI-generated response.

If the transaction is completed, the asset would expand Teva’s psychiatry portfolio and, pending FDA approval, could help address a meaningful unmet need for people living with complex mental health conditions.

For people living with schizophrenia or bipolar I or II disorder, agitation episodes can be unpredictable, disruptive, and distressing for patients, families, and caregivers. In some cases, these episodes may lead to escalation of care, including emergency department visits or hospitalization. Despite this burden, acute treatment options specifically designed for agitation remain limited, particularly options that may be used outside healthcare and hospital settings.

About the Proposed Transaction
Teva has entered into an agreement with BioXcel Therapeutics, Inc., to serve as the “stalking horse bidder” in a court-supervised auction process, pursuant to Section 363 of Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, for the purchase of certain assets from BioXcel Therapeutics and its affiliates, including IGALMI®, its dexmedetomidine sublingual film. As the stalking horse bidder, Teva's proposal establishes the initial bid for the assets. The proposed transaction does not involve the acquisition of BioXcel Therapeutics as a whole.

Teva would acquire the agreed-upon assets if Teva is selected as the successful bidder during the auction, required conditions are satisfied, and the transaction is approved by the Bankruptcy Court. If Teva is not the successful bidder, Teva would be entitled to a break-up fee and expense reimbursement, subject to the terms of the agreement.

Under the terms of the Agreement, Teva would acquire worldwide rights to the assets including dexmedetomidine sublingual film for an upfront payment of $57.5 million and up to an additional $67.5 million in contingent payments. These include a range of time-based payments linked to the timing of the pending FDA approval, including potential delays in approval, as well as payments tied to the achievement of specified sales milestones.

Dexmedetomidine is a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. Dexmedetomidine sublingual film is a proprietary, investigational, orally dissolving film formulation currently under FDA review for at-home use in the acute treatment of agitation associated with schizophrenia or bipolar I or II disorder in adults. IGALMI IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
IGALMI can cause serious side effects, including:

Decreased blood pressure, low blood pressure upon standing, and slower than normal heart rate, which may be more likely in patients with low blood volume, diabetes, chronic high blood pressure, and older patients. IGALMI is taken under the supervision of a healthcare provider who will monitor vital signs (like blood pressure and heart rate) and alertness after IGALMI is administered to help prevent falling or fainting. Taking IGALMI with a history of abnormal heart rhythm can increase the risk of torsades de pointes and sudden death. Sleepiness/drowsiness. Patients should not perform activities requiring mental alertness, such as driving or operating hazardous machinery, for at least 8 hours after taking IGALMI.
Withdrawal reactions, tolerance, and decreased response/efficacy. IGALMI was not studied for longer than 24 hours after the first dose. Physical dependence, withdrawal symptoms (e.g., nausea, vomiting, agitation), and decreased response to IGALMI may occur if IGALMI is used longer than 24 hours.

The most common side effects of IGALMI in clinical studies were sleepiness or drowsiness, a prickling or tingling sensation or numbness of the mouth, dizziness, dry mouth, low blood pressure, and low blood pressure upon standing.

These are not all the possible side effects of IGALMI. Patients should speak with their healthcare provider for medical advice about side effects.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NVRO Metals Limited (TSXV: NVRO | OTCQB: ESGLF | FSE: YGK) ("NVRO Metals" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the successful completion of a continuous production demonstration campaign using material from Hecla Mining Company's Greens Creek operation in Alaska as announced on 22 April 2026.

The campaign forms an important part of the Company's collaboration with Hecla Mining Company to evaluate the NVRO Process™ as a potential commercial processing solution for Greens Creek tailings material. The campaign successfully demonstrated continuous operation using customer feedstock under representative operating conditions and generated engineering, operating and metallurgical data to support future commercial deployment and investment decisions.

Advancing Commercial Deployment
The successful completion of the continuous production demonstration represents an important milestone in the commercialization of the NVRO Process™ and demonstrated continuous operations of the complete integrated process using customer feedstock under representative operating conditions.

Management believes the successful campaign substantially reduces technical risk associated with future commercial applications of the NVRO Process™ and strengthens the Company's ability to progress discussions with mining companies seeking alternative processing solutions for complex sulfidic tailings and ores. The campaign was intended to support the evaluation of a 35,000t commercial processing trial under the parties' Memorandum of Understanding (announced 8 July 2026).

Demonstrating Stable Continuous Operation
The principal objective of the campaign was to demonstrate the oxidation and recovery performance following continuous operation of the integrated NVRO Process™ using customer material under representative operating conditions.

The campaign was undertaken using the Company's μNVRO Production Demonstration Plant, which forms part of the Company's Rapid Deployment Pathway for evaluating customer feedstocks prior to commercial deployment. During the campaign the plant operated continuously for 202 hours, following 57.5 hours of commissioning and process stabilization, while maintaining operating conditions consistent with those predicted by the Company's IDEAS™ digital simulation model.

Calculated sulfide oxidation of approximately 97% indicates effective oxidation of refractory sulfide minerals and liberation of metals contained within them. Operational observations throughout the campaign were consistent with the Company's engineering expectations and exceeded previous pilot results. Management believes the campaign demonstrates that the chemistry, process control and operating philosophy developed through laboratory and pilot testing translate effectively to continuous operation.

Management believes the continuous operation supports an internal assessment that the NVRO Process™ has reached Technology Readiness Level 7. The next step in the Company’s process development is expected to be the installation of a full-scale industrial plant, advancing through subsequent TRL stages toward TRL 9, representing proven commercial operation. The Company has announced its proposed acquisition and development of the NVRO Metals Hub as the location for future commercial operations as announced 10 June 2026.

Preliminary Precious Metal Upgrading
Preliminary operating results indicate continued upgrading of precious metals through the NVRO Process™. Compared with the calculated flotation feed grade:

Silver upgraded from approximately 169 g/t to 1,795 g/t, representing an overall upgrade of approximately 10.6 times.
Gold upgraded from approximately 1.51 g/t to 16.3 g/t, representing an overall upgrade of approximately 10.8 times.

The campaign also achieved approximately 70% reduction in solids mass during leaching.
These preliminary results are reported alongside those from the March 2026 bench-scale campaign for reference. As previously disclosed, the March and August campaigns were conducted on different samples of Greens Creek material and should not be interpreted as directly comparable measures of process improvement.

HKTB has invited a Qinhuai lantern-making team from Nanjing to create four tailor-made giant Qinhuai lanterns for the Spectacular. Qinhuai lantern-making follows four intricate processes: frame-making, mounting, painting and paper-cutting. Renowned for their translucent, vibrant colours and rich cultural symbolism, the lanterns showcase traditional folk culture and express aspirations for a better life.

Taking centre stage is the Shadowlight, a giant themed lantern standing eight metre tall at the main entrance to Victoria Park. Inspired by Hong Kong’s iconic banyan trees, it invites visitors and locals to weave among its glittering light and shadow, then look up at a canopy of layered coloured gauze, its many tiers giving three-dimensional form to the tree’s luxuriant growth. The flourishing canopy and cascading aerial roots symbolise Hong Kong’s global connectivity and warm welcome to visitors and locals alike to gather and experience the city’s appeal as Asia’s Events Capital.

The APO-supported roadmap positions AI as a practical productivity tool to raise output, strengthen worker capability, improve resource efficiency, and accelerate sustainable industrial upgrading

BANGKOK, Aug. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Thailand today marked the official handover and dissemination of the National AI Roadmap for the Sustainable Productivity of Industries in Thailand, placing productivity rather than technology adoption itself at the center of the country's AI transformation agenda.

The milestone took place during the Thailand Productivity Forum 2026: “Twin Transformation – AI × Productivity × Net Zero,” held in conjunction with the 1st AI Productivity Collaboration Consortium. The central message was clear: AI should be judged by the measurable value it creates for firms, workers, public services, and the wider economy.

The economic case is compelling. The APO Productivity Database 2025 reports that Thai labor-productivity growth averaged 2.1% during 2015–2023, down from 4.8% during 2010–2015, while total factor productivity averaged zero growth. As population aging constrains labor-force expansion, Thailand will increasingly need to create more value from each hour worked and each unit of capital.

For the APO, the test is not how many AI tools are purchased, pilots launched, or people trained. It is whether AI raises output per hour, reduces downtime and defects, improves quality and asset utilization, lowers energy and material intensity, accelerates innovation, and strengthens the productive capability of workers.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry Duangdow Khawjaroen reinforced the same productivity-first framing, linking digital transformation and green transformation through AI × Productivity × Net Zero. In her prepared remarks, she said: “Productivity represents the tangible outcomes of doing things better using fewer resources, reducing costs and waste, and creating greater value.” She also stressed that “good AI begins with good data,” highlighting the ministry's i-Industry and i-SingleForm systems and practical applications such as predictive maintenance, energy-efficiency optimization, supply-chain analysis, real-time quality inspection, greenhouse-gas assessment, and executive decision support.

Prepared collaboratively by the Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI) and APO with the technical support of FutureLab, the roadmap is grounded in 23 in-depth stakeholder interviews, a strategy workshop, and practical AI training. Importantly, its quantitative items are presented as recommended goals for the Ministry of Industry: a 15% productivity increase across specified MIND priority sectors by 2030; at least 60% AI adoption among large enterprises and 40% among SMEs in key sectors; at least 80 targeted AI pilot projects across priority sectors, with 30% scaled into full production; and certification of at least 50,000 industrial workers and 5,000 AI specialists by 2030.

Thailand already has a powerful proof point. In 2025, the World Economic Forum (WEF) added Midea's Si Racha facility to its Global Lighthouse Network after the plant deployed 72 digital and AI solutions. WEF-reported outcomes included a 43% reduction in order lead time, a 32% decline in customer complaints, and a 62% improvement in employee qualification speed, evidence of what becomes possible when AI is integrated with process redesign, workforce development, and operational discipline.

The next challenge is diffusion. In the 2024 ETDA–NSTDA AI Readiness study, 580 organizations responded; 17.8% reported already using AI, while 73.3% planned future adoption. The productivity opportunity lies in moving enterprises from intention to economically valuable deployment through use-case selection, data readiness, workflow redesign, worker adoption, integration, scaling, and measurement.

Aligned with the APO Vision 2030 and Thailand's Strategic Partnership Program, the roadmap provides a platform for moving from project-based AI adoption toward a result-oriented productivity transformation system. The next test will not be how many AI initiatives Thailand launches, but how widely AI helps enterprises, especially SMEs, to create more value, build stronger capabilities, and compete sustainably.

Babinsa Koramil 03 Gencarkan Patroli Karhutla, Ingatkan Warga Tak Bakar Lahan

DUMAI - Babinsa Koramil 03/Sungai Sembilan, Sertu Miftah melaksanakan patroli dan sosialisasi pencegahan kebakaran hutan dan lahan (Karhutla) di Jalan Sungai Tawar RT 13, Kelurahan Batu Teritip, Kecamatan Sungai Sembilan, Kota Dumai, Minggu (30/8/2026).

Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan sebagai langkah pencegahan terhadap potensi terjadinya Karhutla, khususnya di wilayah yang memiliki lahan dan kawasan yang rawan terbakar saat kondisi cuaca mendukung munculnya titik api.

Dalam kegiatan patroli tersebut, Sertu Miftah menyampaikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai larangan membuka lahan dengan cara membakar. Edukasi tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat agar tidak melakukan pembakaran yang berpotensi menimbulkan kebakaran meluas.

“Patroli dan sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan untuk mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak membuka lahan dengan cara membakar. Selain dapat menimbulkan kebakaran yang meluas, tindakan tersebut juga memiliki konsekuensi hukum,” ujar Sertu Miftah.

Babinsa juga menjelaskan kepada masyarakat mengenai sanksi hukum yang dapat dikenakan terhadap pelaku pembakaran lahan. Penyampaian tersebut menjadi bagian penting dalam upaya pencegahan agar masyarakat memahami dampak serta risiko hukum dari pembakaran lahan secara sembarangan.

Menurut Sertu Miftah, peran masyarakat sangat diperlukan dalam mencegah terjadinya Karhutla. Masyarakat diminta segera melaporkan apabila menemukan adanya aktivitas pembakaran lahan maupun indikasi munculnya asap atau api di wilayah sekitar.

“Pencegahan Karhutla membutuhkan kepedulian bersama. Jika melihat adanya pembakaran atau menemukan titik api dan asap, segera laporkan sehingga dapat ditangani secepat mungkin,” katanya.

Selama pelaksanaan patroli dan sosialisasi, situasi di lokasi berlangsung aman dan kondusif dengan kondisi cuaca cerah berawan. Dari hasil pemantauan, tidak ditemukan adanya titik api maupun titik asap di wilayah yang menjadi sasaran patroli.***

Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Tinjau Program Manunggal Air di Dumai, Dorong Akses Air Bersih untuk Masyarakat

DUMAI – Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Mayjen TNI Dr. Agus Hadi Waluyo, S.A.P., M.M., CHRMP meninjau pelaksanaan program Manunggal Air sekaligus menyerahkan bantuan sosial kepada masyarakat di Masjid Al Ikhlas, Jalan Pinang Merah, Kelurahan Bukit Kapur, Kecamatan Bukit Kapur, Kota Dumai, Minggu (30/8/2026).

Kegiatan tersebut merupakan bagian dari rangkaian peringatan HUT ke-1 Kodam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai yang dilaksanakan di wilayah Kodim 0320/Dumai.

Dalam sambutannya, Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Mayjen TNI Dr. Agus Hadi Waluyo menegaskan bahwa program Manunggal Air merupakan bentuk kepedulian TNI terhadap kebutuhan dasar masyarakat, khususnya dalam menyediakan akses air bersih.

“Manunggal Air ini merupakan wujud nyata pengabdian TNI kepada masyarakat. Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang sangat penting, sehingga keberadaan program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat dan meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat,” ujar Pangdam.

Pangdam juga mengapresiasi jajaran Kodim 0320/Dumai dan seluruh pihak yang telah berkolaborasi dalam pelaksanaan program tersebut.

Menurutnya, keberhasilan program Manunggal Air tidak hanya bergantung pada TNI, tetapi membutuhkan dukungan pemerintah daerah serta partisipasi masyarakat agar fasilitas yang telah dibangun dapat dijaga dan dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan.

“Yang paling penting setelah fasilitas ini tersedia adalah bagaimana kita bersama-sama menjaga dan merawatnya, sehingga manfaatnya dapat dirasakan masyarakat dalam jangka panjang,” tambahnya.

Kegiatan diawali dengan penyambutan Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai beserta rombongan, dilanjutkan pembukaan dan doa. Ketua Panitia Suherman kemudian menyampaikan sambutan sebelum Pangdam memberikan arahan kepada masyarakat dan tamu undangan.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Pangdam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai juga menyerahkan bantuan sosial kepada masyarakat setempat. Selain itu, dilakukan penyerahan masker kepada Camat Bukit Kapur sebagai bagian dari kepedulian terhadap kesehatan masyarakat.

Usai rangkaian acara, Pangdam bersama rombongan melaksanakan makan siang dan ramah tamah. Selanjutnya, Pangdam meninjau langsung lokasi program Manunggal Air yang berada di wilayah Kecamatan Bukit Kapur.

Jajaran Kodim 0320/Dumai turut mendukung kegiatan tersebut. Danramil 01/Dumai Mayor Arh Kusworo Mahardi hadir mewakili Dandim 0320/Dumai.
